Tamara Henry

Tamara Henry (aka "Green T") is an eco-TV host for various television shows including "Metro Motion", a show featuring LA's traffic impact on the environment, carpooling and public transportation. She is one of the news anchors and reporters for Santa Monica City TV 16, featuring positive news and interviewing city leaders about issues that impact the community. Tamara is a former WB and Fox evening news anchor who produced health and medical news. She also created and produced her own spiritual talk show, "IN with Tamara Henry," which aired on Time Warner Cable in the greater Los Angeles area. Tamara has worked as an anchorwoman for over twelve years and has graced audiences with extensive coverage of red carpet and green carpet events for the film festival circuit, award shows and eco-green events. Tamara is a registered producer at Discovery Communications, having co-produced a film currently on the Military Channel, and is a comedy reality star along with her dog "Jimmy Chew" www.JimmyChew.actorsite.com on Animal Planet. Tamara Henry competed in the Miss Arkansas Pageant from 1991-1994... placed in the top ten twice... and was the winner of the Fruit of the Loom - Quality of Life Award and the Community Service Award for a program she created - "Promoting Health through Whole Person Wellness" - an inspirational program about mind/body/spirit/Earth. Competing in the Miss Arkansas Pageant earned Tamara scholarship money to earn her Bachelors Degree in Broadcast Journalism, and since becoming a TV News Anchor in 1997, she has been giving back a scholarship of her own: "The Tamara Henry Broadcast Journalism Award." Tamara has since continued her education, earning a Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology with an emphasis in Consciousness, Health & Healing. Tamara is dedicated to conscious entertainment and is an activist for environmental causes. Her best friends have been calling her "Green T" because of her commitment to everything Green. Kevin Carr

Kevin Carr has been working in television production, at the network level in the Los Angeles television market for over twenty five years. He is the Co-Creator of and Creative Director, Camera Operator and Editor for "Green T with Tamara". Kevin currently works as a freelance Studio Camera Operator and Technical Director for NBC's "Access Hollywood". He won first place and the video grand prize in June 2008 for his work as the Director, Camera Operator and Editor on the music video entitled "I'm Too Old for American Idol" on OurStage.com. He is an Emmy Award Winner (Technical Director 1999) and has worked as a Technical Director and Camera Operator in both news and entertainment production for ABC, NBC, FOX and many others. Nancy Pearlman - Senior Eco-Advisor

Nancy Pearlman was elected to the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees in 2001. She chairs the Infrastructure Committee, which is charged with reviewing all construction projects under Propositions A and AA, passed by the voters in 2001 and 2003.
Ms. Pearlman is an award-winning broadcaster, environmentalist, college instructor, anthropologist, editor, producer, on-air personality, and outdoorswoman who has made safeguarding the earth’s ecosystems both a vocation and an avocation. For thirty-five years, she has given her time and energy to the environmental cause. She was selected by the United Nations Environment Programme as a Global 500 Laureate and has received many other honors.
Since the 1970s when Nancy coordinated the first Earth Day in Southern California, she has worked with hundreds of conservation organizations, serving as administrator, founder, member of advisory councils, participant, and member of boards of directors. She founded the Ecology Center of Southern California in 1972 and Project Ecotourism in 1993.
ENVIRONMENTAL DIRECTIONS, her international weekly radio series, was started in 1977 and is now the longest-running environmental radio series in the country. These half-hour programs, with one to three interviews per show, have featured leading scientists, activists, and representatives from the business, academic, government, and nonprofit sectors.
As Executive Producer and Host of the three-time EMMY-nominated environmental television series ECONEWS, Nancy covers every ecological issue. Since 1984, she has presented her programs weekly to over 35 million homes via cable and broadcast television and over the Internet. Over 500 shows air on local origination, public access, governmental, school, and university channels, as well as on satellite to PBS stations. Television specials that have won awards include “Gem in the Heart of the City” (the definitive piece on the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area). Television show honors include ACE-nominations (Award for Cable Excellence), Hometown USA Video Festival, and Diamond Awards. Nancy’s public service announcements have won numerous Buccaneer Awards from the Public Interest Radio and Television Educational Society.
As Executive Director to Educational Communications, Nancy has edited for 33 years the bi-monthly “Compendium Newsletter” and edited for 29 years the “Directory of Environmental Organizations”. She is also president of a media consulting firm which creates audio-visual materials. She has taught Cultural and Physical Anthropology, Broadcasting, Journalism, and Mass Communications at the college level. Nancy is a blue-ribbon judge for the ChevronTexaco Conservation Awards.
Nancy Pearlman is a member of the Gypsy Folk Ensemble. Her athletic achievements include completing the Western States 100-mile run, finishing the Ironman Triathlon, climbing more than 100 listed peaks in California, winning long-distance races such as the 1980 Regional Championship 50-mile race, and performing in equestrian events.
